We were having a conversation about dog training at dinner.
Me: Dogs have little tiny brains and they learn by associating certain things with certain actions. It takes time.
Spunky: Oh, like training a boy.
LMAO!!! I damn near choked on my spaghetti.

Trying to have a deep conversation with Spunky about gender roles. LOL
She kept referring to the darker crayon colours as "boy colours" and the lighter colours as "girl colours".
I was trying to explain that she shouldn't separate her colours as boy or girl. If a person likes a colour, then they should just like the colour. It doesn't matter if they're a boy or girl.
I said, "Saying that the blue and black and brown are boy colours and the pink and purple and yellow are girl colours is the same as saying you can't do something just because you're a girl."
Spunky's gem of the day: "Well, I'm a girl who doesn't like boy colours!"
LMAO

Another "Spunky" gem:
"See? This is my diary. I don't have diarrhea. It's just something I write in."

Teffie went to the store and promised Spunky a treat if she was a good girl for Grandma.
I thanked Spunky for being such a cooperative little girl and she said, "It's 'cause Mommy's bringing me a treat."
Me: "Do you think Mommy will bring me a treat?"
Spunky: "No, but I'll share mine with you."
LOL
